Kindergarten begins with a staggered entrance. Children who's last name begins with the letters A-L will begin on Friday August 11th. Children whos last names begin with the letters M-Z will begin the following Monday. (Children who attended on Friday should remain at home on this day) All children will attend the following Tuesday, August 14th. Staggering the entrance provide students and teachers an opportunity to get to know one another, share the school expectations, and ease the fears. It provides a less stressful situation for those who have never attended a school setting.

Title 1 meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. Our classroom visits begin at 5:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity to meet the teachers and see what your classroom looks like and where it is. You may drop off children's school supplies at this time if you wish.
Orientation for Parents

All parents should attend the parent orientation before the first day of kindergarten. Most parents have many questions and concerns when their child is beginning their first day in the "big school", and many things have changed since you and I attended kindergarten. Many have said that kindergarten is now the "first grade" we experienced. In many ways this is true and will be quite different than what you may be expecting. The parent orientation is designed to share information, expectations, and answer questions. This is for parents only so that we can meet and discuss without distractions. Children will start at a later time.
