Mrs. Coomer's 'Kinderbugs
Hi, I am Mrs. Coomer. I teach kindergarten at Neil Armstrong Elementary School. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your family. In our classroom we are called the "Kinderbugs", and our mascot is the ladybug.
I have been in education for 25 years. I have worked with the very young learner as well as adult learners.

My background is Early Childhood Education. I hold a MS with an emphasis in Reading and Language Arts.

In our classroom we generally have a diverse population of learners and I feel that all can learn, so all are welcome.

Career History
I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. I enjoy spending time with my family.
I also enjoy my pets. I have three dogs, chickens, ducks, and a few exotics.
My class pets are a gecko, and some fish. Occasionally my pet spider and snake come in to enhance our science lessons.

My Hobbies
There are many things that I enjoy doing both in and outside the classroom. I am very interested in scientific discovery so I am often outside in nature or trying new things.
I have a garden, and I raise Tilapia in an Aquaponics system. I also raise earthworms for both fishing and enhancing the garden. I never grew out of the need to play in the dirt.
Other things that I enjoy is crocheing,
sewing, sketching, and trying new craft projects.
You also can find me on a computer, tablet, or my phone. I am always interested in researching the latest teaching methods, or learning more about my latest interest so I use technology to do much research.
